The Employment Unit works in partnership with all colleges and administrative units to support the fair and consistent evaluation of jobs. Each position is assigned to a classification based on the assigned duties, responsibilities, and requirements of the job as stated in the job description.
Developing job descriptions and appropriately classifying vacant positions based on departmental needs
Reviewing existing job descriptions when duties have changed in order to determine the appropriate classification
For grant funded positions, please call the Employment Unit in the pre-award stage to determine appropriate job classification and compensation for type of grant work being performed. This will need to be completed before you move further with your grant.
