Compensation

All student employees are paid hourly wages equal to at least the current Illinois minimum wage. Many positions start at minimum wage and offer opportunities for advancement in earnings as the position’s responsibilities grow, though the starting wage is often dependent upon the level of skill and/or knowledge required.

Illinois State University paydays are the 15th and end of each month. Hourly employees are paid on a semi-monthly basis and salaried employees are paid on a monthly basis. Please refer to the Payroll website for more information, payroll and tax-related forms, and a calendar of pay dates.
