The following is a list of frequently asked questions and answers to assist you in your search for employment.
If you are interested in reviewing and applying for a position at Illinois State University, please take a look at our ISU Jobs homepage: Jobs.IllinoisState.edu. We offer a multitude of faculty, staff, student, and graduate assistant positions. The menu bar on left-hand side of the page will allow you to search for any open positions by position type or by narrowing down your search.
Selecting a position type from the menu will allow you to browse positions by category and locate the type of position for which you are interested. Once you have selected the employment type you are looking for, you can sort the Search Results by Job Title, Working Title, Posting Number, Department, Type of Position, Hiring Rate/Range, Posting Date, and/or Posting Closing Date. To select and filter the Search Results accordingly, choose the small black arrow next to the selection criteria.
Selecting the search option from the menu will allow you to search the job postings using any number of combinations of the fields on the search page. The more search fields you complete, the fewer results will be returned and the more specific information you will receive. If, for example, you select ‘Academic Advisor’ as the classification title, your search results would return all Academic Advisor openings University-wide. However, if you selected both ‘University College’ as the department and ‘Academic Advisor’ as the classification title, your search results would only return Academic Advisor positions in University College.
